Manns Harbor – Strong winds from Tropical Storm Andrea have made ferry travel between Ocracoke and both Cedar Island and Swan Quarter too dangerous, so the afternoon trips on those routes have been cancelled.
That means the following trips will not take place:
• Cedar Island to Ocracoke: 1, 4 p.m.;
• Ocracoke to Cedar Island: 1, 3, 4:30 p.m.;
• Swan Quarter to Ocracoke: 1, 4:30 p.m.; and
• Ocracoke to Swan Quarter: 12:45, 4 p.m.
If weather conditions improve, it is possible the Cedar Island to Ocracoke trip at 5:30 p.m. could take place, as well as the Ocracoke to Cedar Island trip at 8 p.m.
