NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A Nashville man who has fathered 22 children with 13 different women has been taken to court for not paying child support.
Orlando Shaw, who is in his early 30s, is tens of thousands of dollars behind in child support payments.
When Shaw doesn’t pay, Davidson County Magistrate Scott Rosenberg says the state pays more than $7,000 each month in food stamps and temporary assistance to help support his children.
The court has jailed Shaw before, but if Shaw is in prison — he can’t earn money to pay child support. For now, the court is working to help Shaw spend more time with his children.
