Pain medication and marijuana were found in the system of the crane operator who was in charge during Wednesday’s fatal building collapse in Philadelphia.
That’s according to a source with first-hand knowledge of the investigation.
Six people died and 13 others were injured when the wall of an empty structure being torn down fell onto another store.
Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter has issued a public apology to the victims and the survivors of the accident.
He says an investigation will be held and that officials will quote “find out what went wrong.”
According to ABC news, the operator will face six-counts of involuntary manslaughter.
