Portsmouth, Va.- A Portsmouth second grader has been accused of bringing a kitchen knife to school and threatening another student in the bathroom at Park View Elementary.
The incident was reported to the School Resource Officer on Tuesday at 10:10 a.m. and the knife was taken from the student who was taken into custody. He was released to his parents and no charges were filed.
They say a 9-year-old student said he was being threatened at knifepoint by the 8-year-old in the bathroom while they were between classes.
No injuries were reported and the school was never put on lockdown.
