RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Currituck-Knotts Island ferry route shifts to its summer schedule on Tuesday, June 11.
The route is used to transport school students, and with the summer school break underway, there will be one fewer weekday trip in each direction.
The summer schedule will be the same for all seven days of the week:
• Departing Currituck at 6 a.m., 9, 11, 2 p.m. and 4; and
• Departing Knotts Island at 7 a.m., 10, noon, 3 p.m. and 5.
The ferry route will return to its school schedule on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
