The Newport News Fire Department announced Friday that they will be conducting training evolutions on the campus of Christopher Newport University from Saturday through Tuesday.
CNU has offered the NNFD the use of the old administration building, which is slated for demolition, to conduct training.
They will conduct high-rise operations, large area search and rescue scenarios and charged hose-line advancement in stairwells.
All the training will take place inside the building and will not be visible from the outside.
Citizens may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicle traffic and multiple fire apparatus on campus during the time frame.
