Elizabeth City, N.C. - Elizabeth City Police are investigating after the body of a 62-year-old man was found in a dumpster behind a Dollar Tree store in the Port Elizabeth Center.
Officials were called about the body at 3:05 p.m. on Thursday. They responded to the scene on West Ehringhaus Street.
The man was identified as Wilbert Wiggins. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Police say there were no obvious signs of foul play, but an autopsy will be performed on Friday to determine the cause of death.
