UPDATE: Section of Elbow Road reopens after city vehicle crash

UPDATE: All roads have been reopened to traffic.

Virginia Beach, Va. – Officers are on the scene of an accident involving a city waste management truck, police tell NewsChannel 3.

It happened at 7:05 a.m. Friday morning in the 4000 block of Elbow Road and Walpole Street. The accident involves a city waste management truck, and two other vehicles.

There are no injuries reported.

As of 7:45 a.m., traffic is shut down eastbound on Elbow Road at Roundhill and Salem Road; and westbound on Roundhill at Salem Road and Elbow Road.

It is unknown how long the roads will be shut down.
