A light show will be held this Fourth of July at Fort Monroe, celebrating the country's Independence Day.
After a year absence, the Fort Monroe Foundation says there will be fireworks this year.
Other events are also planned at the decommissioned Army post.
The fireworks are set for 9:30 p.m. Thursday night.
