Newport News, Va. – A Newport News woman has been charged after she allegedly stabbed the father of her two children early Monday morning.
Police say 32-year-old Amanda Stokes stabbed the 28-year-old man multiple times around 1:15 am on 35th street.
He was transported to Riverside Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses were able to provide a description of Stokes and told police the victim was the father of her two children.She was spotted and arrested at 1:30am in the 600 block of 32nd street.
Stokes was charged with aggravated assault and a weapon offense.
