State police will be out in full force on Thursday, July 4.
According to Sergeant Jones with Virginia State Police, many people like to pull over and park on the shoulders of interstate roadways to watch fireworks – and it is not only illegal, but dangerous. State police want to remind drivers that they will be issued a ticket for doing so.
