A Virginia Beach woman is caught up in a housing nightmare. She was evicted from a home she was renting after it went into foreclosure.
When no one else would help her, she contacted NewsChannel 3.
“I shouldn't have to suffer the consequences of someone else's crap,” says Courtney Gourgoulianis.
But that's exactly what this Virginia Beach woman says she's doing.
Courtney Gourgoulianis and her two-year-old daughter were evicted from their house Monday.
She says she signed a lease to rent a house on Governors Way in early May.
Days later, though, the property went into foreclosure.
Gourgoulianis says she had no clue any of this was going on.
The owner of the house is MIA and the leasing agency is not getting back to her.
