If you went on the internet or social media Thursday night, there’s a good chance you heard about it — “Sharknado.”
TheSyfy Network movie, starring Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, is exactly what it sounds like — a movie about killer sharks raining down on Los Angeles out of tornadoes.
The movie debuted Thursday night and it immediately became atrending topic on Twitter.
Twitter said it generated tweets about a quarter of Super-Bowl levels. That’s impressive for a cheesy, cable movie.
Entertainment Weekly called it “another Syfy flick gone horribly right.”
The New York Daily News said it was “wonderfully bad.”
