Corolla, N.C. - A Pennsylvania couple was killed on Rte. 12 in Corolla on Monday morning after they were hit by a vehicle.
The two victims, Wesley and Elizabeth Martin, were on vacation with their four children and other relatives at the time.
This occurred at around 11:40 a.m. near the Water on the Sands neighborhood.
The driver of the vehicle has been charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle. He told police he fell asleep at the wheel while he was driving a Honda CRV with his 10-year-old inside.
