Today we honor Major Vernon Taylor Junior.
His family in Williamsburg says he was recently promoted to the rank after serving in the military for about 12 years. He's earned several awards including the Bronze Star Medal and the Army Service Ribbon. Mayor Taylor's family wants to congratulate him on his recent achievement. And today we say "thank you for your service."
