Some Currituck County residents experienced a power outage Tuesday morning, July 23, officials tell NewsChannel 3.
It happened at 11:26 a.m. According to Bonita Harris of Virginia Dominion Power, 1,817 customers were affected, including the Carova Beach Volunteer Fire Department and a Currituck County municipal satellite office.
Power was restored by 1:19 p.m.
The outage was caused by failed equipment, officials say.
