Norfolk/Chesapeake, Va. – Kelvin A. Johnson, a Chesapeake man, is behind bars after being accused of abducting a woman in Norfolk.

A woman told police she accepted a ride home from Johnson at 2 a.m. on Wednesday morning on Greenleaf Drive.

Instead of taking her home, she says Johnson drove her to Chesapeake and would not let her get out of the vehicle.

She was able to get out at the intersection of Freeman St. and Bainbridge police say. She then called police.

Chesapeake Police stopped the vehicle and took Johnson into custody. Norfolk officers were called and he was then taken into custody there and charged with abduction.

Johnson is now in the Norfolk City Jail.
