Virginia Beach, Va. – On Tuesday, July 30, TowneBank along with Habitat for Humanity took action for a Virginia Beach community.
About 40 TowneBank volunteers came out to participate in the first Habitat for Humanity workday at Kenley Commons.
This is the kick-off to the construction of the development, which will include six townhomes designed to accommodate the needs of local families who have a member suffering from a chronic disability or illness. This is also the organization’s premier Habitat for Heroes veteran’s build; the home will be purchased by Lydia Mata, who is a veteran and widowed mother of three.
