Union, SC (WHNS) – A man was charged with malicious damage to property after a witness reportedly saw him rubbing buttered toast on the windshield of a car, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office report.

On Saturday the witness noticed her neighbor, Christopher Brannon, 34, wiping something on the back windshield of her car in what appeared to be a cleaning motion, the deputies report said.

When the witness later went out to the car she found a greasy film on her back windshield and a piece of buttered toast laying on the ground nearby, according to the report.

Brannon was charged with malicious damage and released on a personal recognizance bond.
