York County, Va. – A man is accused of swiping a woman’s purse from a shopping cart at a Walmart in Williamsburg.
Police say a woman put her cart in the return area and accidentally left her purse inside.
Once she realized she left the purse, she walked back to the cart to get it but police say someone else beat her to it.
They say a man who was driving a Dodge Caravan in the middle of the parking lot stopped the vehicle, got out and swiped the purse from the cart. He then drove away.
