Norfolk VA – The annual Duck Tape Regatta at the Willoughby Harbor was held Saturday to raise money for CHKD.

Each participant is given plywood, fasteners, and duck tape.

The goal is to create a seaworthy boat in just 4 hours.

After the boats are finished, judges grade the boats on creativity and appearance then it is off to the race.

Spectators  watch and see which teams’ boat will sink or sail.

Families and business come together to enjoy food drink and entertainment as well as raise money for children coping with injures, birth defects and acute chronic illnesses.

Since 2004, the Duck Tape Regatta has raked in over 150,000 dollars in proceeds.
