Driver airlifted to hospital after two-vehicle crash in Hampton

Hampton, Va. – One person has been taken to the hospital by Nightingale with life-threatening injuries after colliding with a large work truck in Hampton.

Police say the accident occurred at around 2:14 p.m. at the intersection of Magruder Blvd. and Butler Farm Rd.

They say the driver of the large work truck was going south on Magruder and tried to make a left turn onto Butler Farm Rd. and that’s when the two cars collided. The driver in a 2013 Nissan was going north on Magruder.

The truck driver was not injured.

Emergency crews will close the intersection for about 30 minutes to clear the accident.
