The Virginia Flaggers announced last week that they plan to hang a Confederate flag in Chesterfield next to I-95.
However, the group has yet to reveal an exact location for the flag due to concerns about vandalism.
Group spokesman Grayson Jennings told WTVR that the group has raised enough money for security fencing, lighting and a camera.
The site work on the flag was set to begin this week but Jennings says recent rain has delayed the project.
“We’ve got to have some good dry weather to get the pole truck in to set the pole,” Jennings told WTVR.
