Chicago (WGN) — 135 three-pointers in five minutes is a stat that could make Derrick Rose envious. It’s also a stat that earned a Chicago area high schooler entry into the world record books.

16-year-old Wheaton Academy Junior Josh Ruggles was already King Of The Hill, winning the Illinois High School Association 3 point shooting contest. Now he’s the unofficial world record holder for the most three pointers made in 5 minutes.

He beat college players who’ve tried and WNBA player Laurie Koehn.

Josh’s older brother Brandon is the brains behind getting Josh’s incredible feat out there. He tweeted the video to Phil Jackson, Dick Vitale, Drew Brees, and Dennis Rodman. They retweeted and replied making Josh Ruggles a household name. There have been a quarter of a million views so far on YouTube.
