(CNN) — He’s as much a medical doctor as Dr. Who and Dr. Demento.
Now Dr. Phil has incurred the wrath of the Internet after a tweet posted on his verified Twitter account asked if it’s OK to have sex with a drunk girl.
It was quickly deleted.
CNN was unable to reach the Dr. Phil show late Tuesday night, but in a response to a question posed by Buzzfeed, the show said: “This tweet was intended to evoke discussion leading into a very serious show topic. It was not intended to be taken lightly. It’s based upon a recent news story, hence the #teensaccused label.”
But the damage was done.
