SunTrust bank robbed in Gloucester

Gloucester, Va. – Crews responded to a bank robbery at the SunTrust Bank located at Gloucester Point Thursday morning, officials tell NewsChannel 3.

It happened around 9:15 a.m. Thursday, August 22. Crews responded to the SunTrust Bank located in the 1400 block of George Washington Hwy. after reports of a robbery. Police say the suspect walked into the bank, showed the teller a note, and demanded money saying he had explosives.

The suspect ran away from the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 20s, about 6’ tall with brown hair, wearing dark baggy jeans, a white t-shirt, and a blue plaid shirt.
