Newport News, Va. – Two people were shot overnight in Newport News.
It happened around 2 a.m. on 19th Street and Cedar Street.
Two people were shot; they showed up in two different hospitals, police say.
Police say one man was able to drive himself and both are expected to recover.
Investigators say this appears to be an attempted robbery.
