Virginia Beach, Va. – A married couple allegedly behind multiple purse snatchings in Virginia Beach have been arrested.
33-year-old Ryan Matthew Evans Sr. has been charged with two counts of Grand Larceny, Petit Larceny, two counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Larceny and Failure to Appear.
31-year-old Lisa Marie Hahn-Evans has been charged with two counts of Grand Larceny, Petit Larceny, and two counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Larceny.
Both are being held in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center on surety bonds.
The incidents all involved older women as victims and occurred at three stores close to each other in the Red Mill area of the city:
- August 19, 2013 at the Walmart, 1149 Nimmo Parkway
- August 21, 2013 at the Target, 2233 Upton Drive
- August 22, 2013 at the Food Lion, 2005 Sandbridge Road
