Today we honor Pharmacist's Mate Second Class Nathan Kessler.
He is pictured here with his wife. He enlisted in the navy in 1942 and served for two and
a half years on the USS Refuge. During that time he went to Africa, Europe and the Pacific.
Kessler was even stationed at Naval Station Norfolk. Kessler lived 90 wonderful years.
His family says they wanted newschannel to honor his service.
