Hampton, Va. – Curtis Wilder, a Hampton man, is $200,000 richer after hitting it big in a Virginia Lottery Scratcher game.
He told Lottery officials he had just worked 13 hours at his call center job and was at home relaxing when he scratched off the winning ticket.
He says he purchased the ticket at the 7-Eleven on West Ocean View Ave. in Norfolk.
When asked what he planned to do, Wilder says he will continue to work and “be humble.”
“I feel like I’ve got a new start,” he said.
Wilder is the second top prize winner. Four others have not been claimed yet.
