Pregnant mother of two finds house ransacked, nothing stolen

Posted

Shards of glass are all that’s left of Trenica Carter’s sliding door after someone shattered it and ransacked her home, but took nothing.

“It was like a tornado ran through,” she says.

The mother of two, who’s expecting, got a call in the middle of the day from a friend telling her about the door.

“I was cleaning up glass for two days just so my kids and I won’t cut our feet,” she says. “Imagine me, eight months pregnant, having to clean up everything.”

And as she stepped inside, the damage only got worse.

“My bedroom was just the worst. You couldn’t even see the floor. My bed was flipped upside down, everything out of my closets…” she says.

But whoever destroyed her home walked away with nothing.  What does she think they were looking for?

“Probably money that they think I have which I don’t. They were mad because they didn’t find nothing,” she says.

Trenica has since bought a new door and started cleaning her bedroom and will have to pay to fix a hole in her wall.

“I can’t afford this door. Come on now, I’m about to have a whole other baby plus two kids,” she says.

Police say they don’t have any suspects and Trenica is clueless as to who could have done it.

But she has one question: “Why did you do it? Why to me and my kids? What was your reason? Now we’re left hurt because of this,” she says.
