Norfolk, Va. – The worldwide movement to reimagine parking spaces as temporary parklets and raise awareness to improve the quality of urban human habitat has been adopted by Downtown Norfolk Council, Downtown Norfolk Civic League, Re:Vision Norfolk and Alchemy NFK.
According to the City of Norfolk, each organization has pledged to reclaim the city by transforming four metered parking spaces available for public use.
Each temporary parklet will have a unique theme and design to include seating, greenery and shade.
