Nauticus is looking for hardworking, thrillseeking volunteers to help with their Halloween event, Haunted Ship: Three Decks of Darkness.
Members of the "Scream Team" will help with the placement of thrills and special effects along the tour route, as well as providing help with crowd control.
Participants must be ages 16 and older, be able to understand and follow safety procedure, and have a tolerance for small dark spaces. Previous experience with theater, events or crowd control is preferred.
Volunteers must attend an information session on either Oct 1 or Oct 3 and at least one dress rehearsal. They must also be available for at least two nights of Haunted Ship. Tours will take place October 17 and 24 from 6:30-10 p.m. and on October 18, 19, 25 & 26 from 6:30-11 p.m. For more information, please contact Ann Marie Massie at (757) 664-1027 or by emailing her at annmarie.massie@norfolk.gov.
