Newport News, Va. - Two men were shot at Kate's Trace Circle in Newport News on Wednesday evening.
Now police say they have charged 18-year-old Dashawn Barnwell, who they've identified as the shooter.
He has been charged with two counts of malicious wounding and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
They also interviewed a 17-year-old but he is not facing any charges.
The victims, a 23-year-old and a 28-year-old, are listed in critical but stable condition.
NewsChannel 3 was told that one of the victims was shot in the head.
Police say the victims drove into the parking lot of the complex in separate cars, got out of the vehicles and that's when they were shot at some point.
The investigation has revealed that the shootings were the result of an argument between the two parties.
