The City of Virginia Beach says the Pungo-Blackwater Library and the Senior Resource Center are closing at 3:00 p.m. today because of plumbing problems.
The library will remain closed on Saturday.
Staff will decide whether to re-open the buildings Monday, depending on repairs.
The Health Department advised the library, senior center and nearby Creeds Elementary School not to use water inside the buildings, which comes from wells, for drinking or food preparation. Staff is working to remedy the situation as quickly as possible.
