Portsmouth, Va. – The Portsmouth Health Department lead a free flu shot exercise today at TCC (Tidewater Community College) Portsmouth campus.
The free event began at 9:00am and by 11:30am, Portsmouth Health Department had given 381 vaccines in record time!
The purpose of the event was to allow the Portsmouth Health Department to exercise and evaluate the administration of vaccinations in a drive-through format, and to also give free vaccine to the public in the hopes of increasing influenza vaccination rates in Virginia.
