Dare Co., N.C. – A Manteo man has been arrested and charged with stealing firearms in Dare County.
It happened on October 16, 2013. The Dare County Sheriff’s Office received a report that two guns had been stolen from a residence in Wanchese.
Dare Sheriff’s CID Deputy D.A. Moran was assigned to investigate the case. As a result of the investigation, Moran was able to recover one of the guns and an arrest was made.
27-year-old Kelly Clark Rogers of the 800 block of Amanda Street in Manteo was arrested. Rogers also had outstanding warrants from another jurisdiction, that were served during the arrest.
Rogers is charged with Larceny of a Firearm (Felony) and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (Felony).
Rogers is now in the custody of the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of a $30,800 bond.
