Chesapeake, Va. – Police are looking for two bank robbery suspects in Chesapeake.
For the past several years, there have been a number of bank robberies throughout the southern Hampton Roads area that are believed to be related to the same group of individuals, according to Chesapeake police.
In many of these cases, two armed suspects enter the bank while wearing masks and hats to conceal their identity.
The suspects take money from the tellers, and run away from the scene.
While most cases involve two suspects, in a few incidents, only one suspect enters the bank and commits the robbery, police say. In these incidents, they are believed to be related, due to similar comments made, concealment methods, robbery tactics, and getaway strategies.
The following are suspect descriptions from police officers:
Suspect #1 is described to be a white male, 5’6, dark clothing, baseball cap, bandana over face, camouflage gloves, with a black backpack.
Suspect #2 is described to be a black male, 5’7, dark clothing, baseball cap, bandana over face, camouflage gloves, with a black backpack.
If anyone has information regarding the individuals involved in these robberies, they are encouraged to call, text, or submit an online tip to the Chesapeake Crime Line.
