Former Deep Creek basketball standout Corey Law is in his rookie season as a Harlem Globetrotter.
Known on the team as Thunder Law, he boasts a 44-inch vertical leap. But it wasn’t his jumps that gained him notoriety this past week.
Law smashed the official Guinness World Records record for the longest successful basketball shot, connecting from 109 feet 9 inches at the US Airways Center in Phoenix.
The previous record was 104 feet 7 inches.
The attempt was made as part of the official Guinness World Records Day on Thursday.
