Two people were rescued after their boat capsized in the Beaufort Inlet in North Carolina on Monday.
Someone contacted the Coast Guard telling crews that two people were in the water near a capsized boat.
Crews went to the scene in a 25-foot response boat to help.
“When we arrived on scene, the people were clinging onto the stern of their boat and wearing life jackets,” said Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Luke Housand, the coxswain aboard the RB-S. “My crew pulled the two men aboard our boat, and we treated them for hypothermia while en route to the station.”
The two men declined medical treatment. The boat was then towed to Radio Island Boat Ramp.
