“Anti-rape” underwear designed to help protect women against sex assault, report says

A New York company is targeting women with their line of “AR Wear” – designed to help protect women against a sexual assault. That’s according to a recent report from Fox4KC.com.

The clothing is difficult to forcibly remove, cut or rip and they resemble a pair of athletic running shorts, the report says. A statement from the company reads:

“We developed this product so that women and girls could have more power to control the outcome of a sexual assault. We wanted to offer some peace of mind in situations that cause feelings of apprehension, such as going out on a blind date, taking an evening run, “clubbing”, traveling in unfamiliar countries, and any other activity that might make one anxious about the possibility of an assault.”
