Norfolk, Va. - A high ranking Norfolk State University official was in court on Medicaid fraud charges today.

The FBI says Wade Wayne Perry, and his wife, Angela, defrauded the Medicaid system out of $1.3 million.

Perry has been the vice chair for the NSU Board of Visitors since 2010.

His job was running "community personal care", which offers home health care services.

Investigators say starting in December of 2009 until 2012 - Perry set up a fraudulent billing scheme.
