A vehicle hit a pole at the intersection of George Washington Highway and Canal Drive in Chesapeake on Wednesday morning and briefly knocked out power to 600 customers.

Dominion Power says a truck went off the road and hit a pole with several transformers on it.

Chesapeake Police say the crash happened when the truck appeared to hydroplane, causing the vehicle to hit the pole.

The crash originally knocked out power to 600 customers. It was restored to all but two customers by 10:30 a.m. Power should be restored to the remaining two by 3:00 p.m.
