Dare County, N.C. – The Dare County Narcotics Task Force seized 76 marijuana plants, firearms, and numerous other items during an arrest made on Tuesday, according to the Dare County Sheriff’s Office.

On November 26, 2013, the Dare County Narcotics Task Force arrested 47-year-old Timothy Lee Grauer of Capri Terrace in Kitty Hawk.

Members of the Task Force had received information about a marijuana growing operation at Grauer’s residence, according to Chief Deputy Steve Hoggard.

The Task Force conducted an investigation that led to the seizure of approximately 76 marijuana plants, ‘bulk marijuana’, marijuana grow equipment, several firearms, and numerous other items.

Assisting the Task Force were The Kitty Hawk Police Department and the FBI Greenville Office.

Timothy Grauer was arrested for Manufacturing Marijuana, and placed under a $2,500 dollar bond.

Other charges and arrests are expected in the case, Chief Hoggard says.

The Dare County Narcotics Task Force is composed of the Dare County Sheriff’s Office, the Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head Police Departments, NC Alcohol Law Enforcement, and the NC State Bureau of Investigation.

Dare County Sheriff Doug Doughtie made the following statement:

“I would like to thank the Task Force for a job well done. These officers work hard every day to keep our county safe. I also appreciate the help that we continue to receive from our citizens. You are an important ally in our battle against crime.”
