Smart phone app uses your face to unlock personal data

Posted

Can't remember your password? There's an app for that.

All you have to do is smile.

And you really don't even have to smile.

The new FaceCrypt app uses your face to unlock the virtual vault to all of your personal data.

The way it works: you store a picture of your face in the app.

That's the key.

You put your passwords, credit card numbers, passport information - anything you find personal right in the app.

And the only way that information can be accessed is by your face.

For added security, the system can prompt users to blink to avoid someone using a photograph to access the stash.
