Norfolk, VA.  NewsChannel 3 finished the November 2013 Nielsen sweeps period with major increases in almost every newscast, while owning Hampton Roads #1 newscasts at Noon, 4pm & 5pm.  No other local news station in Hampton Roads experienced as much overall growth than NewsChannel 3.

It starts with NewsChannel 3 This Morning hosted by Laila Muhammad, Blaine Stewart, Meteorologist Myles Henderson and Beat the Traffic reporter Kristen Crowley. NewsChannel 3 This Morning increased its’ share by 3 points at 5am and by 2 points at 6am over last year.  NewsChannel 3 at Noon, hosted by the same bunch, finished #1 in the time slot, up 2 share points over last November.

NewsChannel 3 at 4 dominated the 4pm time slot once again; winning with a 4.7 rating, 10 share.  NewsChannel 3 at 4, hosted by Barbara Ciara, Bianca Martinez, Juliet Bickford, Kurt Williams and Chief Meteorologist Patrick Rockey, consistently wins in the 4pm hour.

For the first time since 1995, NewsChannel 3 at 5 is #1!

While the other guys’ ratings are down at 5pm from last November, NewsChannel 3 At 5 finished up more than a full rating point and 2 share points. NewsChannel 3 at 5:30 and NewsChannel 3 at 6 also increased its’ audience share over last November.

In another first, The Locker Room is now the highest rated Friday night high school sports show in Hampton Roads.
