One person displaced in Chesapeake townhome fire

Chesapeake, Va. – A townhome caught fire Thursday morning in Chesapeake.

It happened at 10:12 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2013.

Crews were dispatched to the 400 block of South Hill Lane in the Great Bridge area.

Firefighters found a two story townhome with heavy smoke showing.

The fire was under control at 10:21 a.m.

The fire damage was contained to the kitchen, and smoke damage was found throughout the home.

The home was occupied by one woman.

No injuries have been reported.

The woman will be displaced because of the smoke damage, and will stay with family in the area.
