The controversy over the sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandela’s funeral prompted one Tampa mom to share a video of her daughter proving how it should be done.
Lori Putney Koch tweeted out her message to several news organizations on Wednesday and it quickly caught their attention:
Lori says she and her husband have both been deaf since birth but both Claire and her 2-year-old sister Charlotte are both able to hear.
Claire participated in her Kindergarten holiday concert and signed the songs for her parents so they wouldn’t miss anything.
