Police arrest 92 in two-day warrant sweep in Newport News

Newport News, Va. – Police arrested a total of 92 people on Thursday and Friday during a two-day operation to round up those wanted on outstanding warrants.

49 were arrested on Thursday and 43 on Friday.

Those arrested face a total of 48 felony charges, 105 misdemeanor charges and 185 summons for traffic violations.

Newport News Police were assisted by the United States Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Virginia State Police and other local, state and federal agencies.
