CDC: Flu vaccine prevented 6.6 million illnessess last season

A new report released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says they estimate that the flu vaccine prevented 79,000 hospitalizations and 6.6 million illnesses last season.

Despite the benefits, they say fewer than half of Americans have been vaccinated so far this season.
